Co-Founder + Executive Director
Courtney Klimson is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Roadie Clinic, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the full-service care of roadies and their families, co-founder and General Manager of Theory One Studios, co-founder and General Manager of Theory One Productions, and in her spare time thought it would be a good idea to start a bar and listening room within a block from the studio called Brass Alley Live, set to open in the summer of 2026.
The Roadie Clinic began as an idea in July of 2019 that quickly became solidified with the purchase of a commercial building (temporary housing) in October 2019. While continuing to wait on funding for that part of the nonprofit, Courtney built a virtual hub, an advocacy group committed to providing a safe space for roadies and their families to heal while off the road, and to advocate for - and empower them to obtain - a healthy work environment while on the road. Their current virtual offerings include RoadieDocRX, Roadies in Recovery, CrewPeeps: A Roadie Partner Network, DocuDirect: a passport + visa collection, and PeerChats. Their future includes the previously mentioned three-story, multi-faceted facility that will offer mental health services, career coaching, education, advocacy, family services, recovery resources and temporary housing when available. TRC will offer its facility (and currently offers its services) both in person and online, for little to no charge to touring professionals and their families.
Theory One Studios launched in 2025, providing a fully immersive, Dolby-Atmos capable analog + digital recording studio in the heart of historic Niles, MI. Taking the collective experience of both Courtney and Paul, this studio was designed by Criterion Acoustics, managed by Courtney (see below), engineered by Paul, and boasts a Paragon II analog console retrofitted from a live desk to a studio console. Built in part to support The Roadie Clinic, Theory One Studios will donate 10% of profits to The Roadie Clinic.
Theory One Productions, the original company founded by Courtney and Paul, is the company he worked under as an audio engineer for his touring career with the likes of Justin Timberlake, The Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson, among others. During this time, Courtney’s mission was talent-focused, comfort-inducing, and aimed at establishing the kind of earned trust that bolsters confident stage-commanding experiences among performers. Prior to starting The Roadie Clinic and Theory One Studios, she joined the Passion Pit team at the end of their 10th Anniversary Manners Tour to fill-in as a personal/production assistant. Courtney left that tour and jumped in to assist in the artist compound for the 2019 Roots Picnic. Prior to that, she was honored to fill in as a production assistant with Eric Clapton for a short run.
Courtney spent much of the past 20 years in New York City where she built an entire pro-audio installation division at the Masque Sound & Recording Corporation with notable audio clients that include The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York University, and the famous and expansive St. Patrick’s Cathedral located in the heart of New York City.
While at Masque, she got the call to work in television production on The Tonight Show Starring
Jimmy Fallon on the ‘Top of the Rock’ at the historic 30 Rockefeller Plaza. As a freelance Production Manager, Courtney was instrumental in putting together the uniquely memorable live U2 rooftop
performance at Rockefeller Center for the highly-anticipated inaugural week episode (and February 18 broadcast) of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In 2015, she joined the ST8MNT Brand Agency in Nashville. There she served as an account manager for ST8MNT clients which include the CMA Music Fest, various Live Nation Music Festivals (Watershed Festival, Windy City Lake Shake, and Faster Horses Festival) and brand development of renowned music artists such as Taylor Swift, Reba McEntire, and others.
Courtney is a Greenville University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Media Promotions. Originally from Rochester, New York, she currently lives in Niles, MI.
